I walked the Packery Channel North Jetty around 6:00 PM this evening to see if anybody was catching fish. It was windy and choppy, with winds out of the ESE at 16 knots (gusting to 20 knots) and dirty green colored water. Only a few fisherman were on the jetty. One fisherman caught a sand trout about 14″ (estimated) on the surf side of the jetty at around 6:12PM. I do not know what he was using for bait. I spoke to another fisherman that said he had caught a 14″ sand trout on the channel side of the jetty using live mud minnows. I did not see anyone else catch fish.
